Allie Quigley’s 3-point shooting contest score was better than any WNBA or NBA player ever
The three-point shootout was an absolute stunner at the 2018 WNBA All-Star game, with Chicago Sky guard Allie Quigley winning her second consecutive title in overtime over Las Vegas Aces guard Kayla McBride. Quigley went entirely nuclear in the final round, scoring 29 out of a total 39 points.
Her ridiculous round is the most points scored ever in a WNBA or NBA shooting contest since the rules have change, and it led to fans altering her Wikipedia page to read: “Allie McBuckets Slayer Quigley.” McBuckets is McBride’s nickname. The page also says Quigley was born on the 3-point line hahaha.
It was unbelievable watching her knock down an entire money-ball rack.
McBride put up a real fight shooting after Quigley’s miraculous performance. She knocked down an entire money-ball rack herself, but was bested with just 21 points.
Both players also played an entire half of All-Star Game basketball before the halftime contest.
This was an epic three-point contest, and we better get a rematch next year.
